Sadly part of the collective amnesia will be our return to trading with China with probably few repercussions. A couple things about our collective memory. First, I live within 100 mi of San Francisco. I don’t “celebrate “ the anniversary of the Loma Prieta earthquake. We tend to not want to remember things beyond our control. Second, the most lasting learning is always experiential. As a former educator, the anti- vaxers drive me nuts. They need to heed folks like you! Sadly, affluence creates arrogance. No one today can say, “It can’t happen to me.” Hopefully THAT will be our hard lesson learned, our lasting take-away!

In this together, Retired White Coat.

Great article! I saw a Hometown newspaper article from the influenza epidemic advocating exacting what we are doing now.

Give my best to Kathy
